PAWSOS
Web & Mobile Application
Pawsos is an online, wholesome, dog friendly, one stop app that caters to progressively delivering all the essential needs for your dogs. From acting as a genesis that sells all your daily vital products for a dog, to finding a safe haven for them to live with, to nurturing and feeding them, Pawsos tries to do their best in making this world a better place for them, one dog at a time.

Challenge and Responsibility
Finding Pet stores and all amenities for your dog can get tiresome as one would have to visit store to store to get all the products that care for a dog. Also, there was a need to find an easy, cost-effective and quicker way to adopt stray dogs that need love and care. Not just that, if you are in the mood to do some good and offer some donations for these poor animals, that’s another hassle to go through. Pawsos combines the power of all the above features together and gets you a product that is easy to navigate browse through and logout while getting the best for your dogs.

Client-Specific Requirement
The need for the day was to make a portal which sells products that caters to all the day-to-day activities specifically for dogs. So the client envisioned a commercial ecommerce website where one can view and shop for a multitude of dog products and purchase them with the promise of getting those products delivered to their homes. So this website was to develop keeping the entire flow of an ecommerce market. The non-commercial aspect of the product was to in addition to a donation camp like site users can donate to and thus contribute to the social welfare of the dogs. Also the portal was to provide a platform wherein the digs could be put for adoption too. And finally the client needed a very complex set of admin panel and backend under the hood task features to control them.
Ideation
This product was envisioned by the client. There were a few brief initial discussions about the nature of the product, the specific requirements and the initial relay of prototyping.
Layout and Paper Prototypes
The product was to be built as a web app and as a mobile app. After identifying the capacity of developers and workforce required for the app and onboarding them on the team, the wireframe was set up. With initial design sketches, rough sketches and paper prototypes, the layout was made to understand the pain point in User Experience and design Click-throughs.
Designing User Interface
The wireframe was then built using the Balsamic app and sent to the client for review. The Wireframe design went through few design changes through iterative correctness and improvements following which a final wireframe was laid out.
The User Interface was designed and iteratively improved on by taking feedback from the client with final design approved to be worked on.

Product Development
The UI design was then handed over to a team of developers. This was done by coordinating among all stakeholders and the developers.
Testing
In this phase process we had a team of 4-5 users where we tested the product for a thorough implementation, logged bugs, got the bugs fixed and deployed the changes.
Delivery
The final process in this project where the entire product was delivered to a completely satisfied customer.
This involved generating as SRS documentation which included the complete specification and description of requirements of software that needed to be fulfilled for successful development of the software system. These requirements recorded were functional as well as non-functional.
Technology Stack
A careful consideration of factors such as scalability, performance, security, and maintainability when choosing the appropriate technology stack for a web application development project.

Project Learnings
Designing and developing Pawsos was a great learning experience. Starting from ideation to high fidelity prototyping, project coordinating and finally to delivery taught me so much about client requirements and building user centric product development. Having a concrete understanding of how users think and having the right User Experience is very critical for the success of any application.
The project gave a thorough understanding and insights into the functioning of an e-commerce-like app. It helped me understand the shortcomings of an e-commerce app, the advantages of it and the difficulties that one may find while building it.
It also helped to understand how different organizations and social-cause bodies work, interact, and communicate with each other and how digitizing such organizations scale up their process and outreach programs.
